Who made the westernized standards of beauty?
Why do we conform to it?
How can we fix it?
We want women and men to have self acceptance of their natural beauty. One should not have to conform to the typical representation of beauty in the media, which is blond hair, blue eyes and a slim body like a barbie.
For the next couple of months, we will inform our audience of why media is implanting this type of beauty and why we still are idolizing it.
We also want to acknowledge that beauty comes in different shapes and sizes as well as individually and culturally. Since America is a melting pot, then why is there only one standard of beauty that shapes what one should look like?
